Production Stock Controller

We are growing our food production team and are looking for a hardworking individual to join our established production team who are responsible for ensuring our vast range of dry and wet produce are always available to our customers. This role will involves working with fresh produce including nuts, rice, herbs, spices, and a range of meats and cheeses. Our mission is to provide an excellent service to our many customers offering them a ‘one stop shop’ of excellent products and ingredients for all their daily needs, we are always looking for consistency.

This is a physical, hands-on role where accuracy, attention to detail and focus are key skills for success. There is also some heavy lifting involved up to 25kgs. You will need to be able to maintain high levels of productivity and consistently meet daily targets to ensure there are sufficient products on the shelves to meet customer demand. Key responsibilities include:

  • Pick bulk stock from the bulk isle and move it to the production area, via the up and over gate or the lift.
  • This role is very important as without it working well, the daily production will suffer, productivity in the production area needs to always keep to a maximum.
  • Take the finished stock from production and get it sighted in its locations, making sure that stock is rotated, all empty blue containers and pallet bins are to be returned to the production area.
  • All recycling plastics and card to be taken to the recycling area and put through the machines, this is a job that others will also help with.
  • Work with the production team to make sure that all the stock needed for production the next day is up in the production area at the end of the previous day, I understand that there will be some changes and more stock may be needed during the working day.

  • You must have excellent communication skills across all levels
  • Have a positive attitude towards work and attainment
  • You have the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with teams across the business
  • You perform well under pressure to meet targets
  • You have a keen eye for detail and quality
  • Have a good understanding of computers and a handheld system for checking stock in and out
  • Maintain a good relationship with all the Albion team and management
