Famed for its refreshing smell and tart flavour, the lemon is the acidic fruit of a small evergreen tree native to Asia, Its origin is something of a mystery, although it is thought to have originated from India and first entered Europe near Southern Italy in 1 AD, The juice, rind and zest of the lemon are all used in cooking, baking and to flavour drinks such as lemonade,
