Also known as golden needles or lily petals these strands of dried long yellow day lily are a popular earthy addition to stirfries and soups. 

Soak in warm water for 30 minutes and remove any hardened parts of the flower before using.

On a side note this type of lily (hemerocallis citrina) has anti-inflammatory properties and is high in vitamins C, B1 and B2.
