DARTFORD UPDATE - 6 MORE WEEKS!

Well that was a week! Last weekend we moved the whole frozen and fresh produce side of the business into its new home at Crossways. A huge undertaking for teams across the business considering we did it without interrupting deliveries. A massive thank you to the whole Albion crew for the effort and also to customers for their understanding when we missed products over the weekend and the early part of this week. In many cases we had product but it was on reefer trailers somewhere between Tonbridge and Dartford when we wanted to pick it.

Hundreds of pallets have been moved into Crossways and the whole place looks more like a warehouse by the day. Two of our night teams moved in over the weekend and we welcomed more new joiners this week too. Numbers at Dartford are up over 70 now and hard work still for our big teams at Tonbridge. The old Unit 4 with its freezer has begun decommissioning work and Production and Bulk have moved to their temporary home at Unit 8 while we finish the work on their new facilities on the mezzanine at Crossways.
