Production Operative - Butchery

We are growing our food production team and are looking for two hardworking individuals to join our established team of operatives in the Butchery department, who are responsible for ensuring our butchery produce is always available to our customers. This role will involve working with raw produce including a range of meats. Our mission is to provide an excellent service to our many customers offering them a ‘one stop shop’ of products and ingredients for their daily needs.

This is a physical, hands-on role where accuracy, attention to detail and focus are key skills for success. There is also some heavy lifting involved up to 25kgs. You will need to be able to maintain high levels of productivity and consistently meet daily targets to ensure there are sufficient products on the shelves to meet customer demand. Key responsibilities include:

• Handling raw meat
• Portioning raw meat including chicken
• Marinading raw meat
• Preparing produce by weighing and repackaging ambient ingredients in the required mixes and sizes
• Meeting daily targets as set by the Production Supervisors and Manager
• Quality checking products to ensure they meet required standards
• Maintain high levels of housekeeping ensuring food hygiene practices are adhered to
• Compliance with health and safety, and food hygiene regulations

• You have a keen eye for detail and quality

In return we can offer you:

Salary up to £23,903 per annum
