Junior IT Technician

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexible start/finish times

Location: Initally the role will be based in Tonbridge (TN9), but we are relocating to Dartford (DA2) in Spring 2023. You must be willing and able to relocate with us.

Salary: £23,000-£28,000 depending on experience

We are sadly and reluctantly saying goodbye to a valued member of the team who is leaving us to pursue a completely different career in the world of aviation, and as such are looking for a Junior IT Technician to take his place. You will be responsible for providing 1st line technical support to our staff across a range of both hardware and software. Acting as the liaison between our staff and our managed services including our external IT managed service provider, printer management and warehouse management software. 

This is a great starting point for someone junior or fresh out of college/university who wants to begin a career in IT with opportunities for development and progression with a fast-growing and fast-moving business.

Key Responsibilities

• Being the main point of contact for the outsourced IT managed service provider
• Resolve on-site technical issues with users' PCs and printers
• Progress and maintain Cyber Essentials security assessments to maintain the highest level of cyber security certification
• Setting up new user PCs
• Main point of contact for the warehouse management system - investigate errors, manage and update handheld devices
• Main point of contact for our managed printing suppliers and hardware
• Use printer labelling for ad-hoc requests
• Assist with general warehouse enquiries, for example stock location changes and transfers

Key requirements

• Some hands-on experience in a similar role or a good level of technical knowledge
• Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Experience of SAP Business 1 and Korber software would be highly advantageous, but not essential
