Wash before use. Baby Leeks are mild enough to eat raw . Due to their well textured exterior, they can withstand long cooking periods. Baby Leeks are perfect for classic homemade meals such as pies, tarts and hearty warm soups. They also make for a great salad or pizza ingredient. Either roast, blanch or grill with olive oil or butter to impart a rich onion smokiness. Furthermore, baby leeks pair well with cream sauces, cheese, bread and other baby vegetables. They also compliment a variety of meats including poultry, grilled or smoked white fish and lamb. In addition, they pair perfectly with fennel, garlic mustard, tomatoes and vinaigrettes.
