Originating in Southern Italy, Tubetti Lisci are part of the very short, smooth and straight cut, dried pasta family. Tubetti Lisci literally translates to smooth tubes which gives this pasta it's name. 

Tubetti Lisci are recommended for preparing soups with beans or lentils, as well as vegetable broths.

This pasta is also suited to very delicate pasta dishes with light tomato and basil sauces.
